Capacity factor by day
How hard each fuel family is working: daily output ÷ reference capacity, where each unit’s reference is its highest reported capacity over the trailing 90 days. Wind and solar swing with the weather; outages show up as dips.
Reference capacity is the highest per-hour “AvailCapacity” a unit reported over the trailing 90 days, summed across each family. Because the denominator is fixed, an outage or forced derate shows up as a dip in capacity factor rather than shrinking the denominator. The in-progress day is excluded because its partial output would read low against a full-day reference.
